SCENSE APPOINTS NEW PRODUCT MANAGER

Scense, one of the leading software companies for user-empowerment software, announced today that the company has appointed a new product manager, Hessel Wellema. Hessel had the same role at his former company, Exact Software.

Hessel has a masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Leiden. He focused during his study on critical success factors in system development. He joined Exact Software’s customer support team in 1994 and he became project manager soon after. He has experience in sales, marketing, support, consultancy and development. In 2004 he was promoted to Business Unit Manager and he built and managed a team of professionals focusing on organizations in the Professional Service Automation Market.

Since early 2006 Hessel was responsible for product marketing and application development. Koen Bouwers, Scense’s CEO, stated that the product manager role in a software company is crucial for the success of a company. “In a business where application development combined with quality are the decisive factors for customers to decide on who to partner with, the product manager is the one who makes the difference.”

Scense (based in Rotterdam) supplies software solutions to companies and organizations in the SMB- and Enterprise space. Scense’s products are all developed with a strong focus on the end user. Its products guarantee that every user, wherever and whenever he logs on, independent of his PC, laptop or terminal, has his own stable computer environment with his own settings and preferences. Scense’s customers report up to 80% less helpdesk calls thanks to the stability of the application environment and the various self-service tools provided by Scense.
