Application Virtualization
The purpose of the integration of Scense and application virtualization
is to offer a user-based, centrally managed
virtualization solution for desktop applications.
There are several virtualization solutions. Scense has developed modules to support
the two main methods of virtualization: virtual layers and streamed applications.
Scense's program interface provides the possibility to centrally manage and control virtual
applications, and adds roaming user support to virtualization solutions. Read more...
Windows Installer
Applications of type 'Windows Installer' (MSI-files) can now direclty and easily be imported.
The package is being read by Scense Explorer and relevant information is shown in the property
page. The features available within the MSI-file are shown in exactly the same way Windows
Installer would while preparing the installation. The administrator selects the features and
how they should be configured. The changes are stored in the Scense Database, the MSI-file
remains untouched.
This way the MSI-file is configured from a central location, and is
directly applicable to all installations.
