Action: Change Profile Type - ScenseGuru - 03-19-2015
This post contains 2 Action Templates that work together:
– Change profile type
– Restore profile type
With mandatory profiles there are some restrictions that prevent things like importing certificates etc.
The ‘Change Profile Type’ action will temporarily change the profile type to e.g. ‘Local’, after which you can execute the actions that are normally prohibited.
Afterwards the ‘Restore Profile Type’ action should be executed to restore the profile to its original type.
Restoring the profile type is very important because failing to do so will very probably lead to a corrupt profile which will be deleted automatically.
Another point of attention: the mandatory profile will not retain any changes, so make sure the changes are saved with another mechanism, such as Scense Live Profiles.
