Scense Service Point install "got stuck" - kpinsel - 09-25-2018

Hello Scense Forum,

I'm trying to install Scense Service Point and it keeps failing at this point:

"3: Configuring Scense Service Point
When the Scense Service Point is visited for the first time, it will prompt you to do an initial configuration."

When i go to http://<server_name>/SSP/ and try to configure SSP it keeps failing "The underlying provider failed on Open.".

Help is appreciated.

With kind regards,

Kars Pinsel

Hi Kars,

We've seen this happen a couple of times now and at this point we're not entirely sure what's causing it.
It seems to have a dependency on certain SQL Db and .NET SQL Client versions.

The workaround is to run the attached database script to create the new tables.

Please don't forget to update the domain group in the GRANT statements to suit your domain.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers,
Richard

PS.
The attached sql script is valid for Service Point V1.0 and might not be valid for future versions of the Service Point
