Rotterdam, February 2009. The 6th release of Scense follows the companies vision of personal, stable and functional Windows desktops, available anytime and anywhere.
The focus of this release is to further simplify the application delivery process. With the newly developed Easy Delivery solution, applications can be delivered with only a few mouse clicks. "Thanks to the intuitive graphical interface this process has become extremely simple and easy to master, applications will be delivered in seconds", says Hessel Wellema, product manager with Scense.
Another major development is the integration with App-V application virtualization. With the new release of Scense, users can enjoy all the benefits that Microsoft Application Virtualization has to offer. The user experience remains similar to the delivery of MSI, ThinApp or SVS applications, eliminating the need for extensive additional training. Scense will limit the amount of time spend by IT departments on (re)sequencing App-V applications because of it's ability to manage the applications and it's environment from within the virtual "bubble".
Significant work has been done regarding global management of file type associations. File type associations are now within the control of administrators and they can make sure that every single file type is manipulated with the same application through out the whole organization.
